Fact 4He used to play weekly shows at the popular Java Joe's in Ocean Beach, California.
Fact 5His second album, “Mr. A-Z”, in 2005, achieved major commercial success. The album reached number five on the Billboard 200 and sold over 100,000 copies in the US. In 2008, he released his third studio album, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things”. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was a success worldwide, peaking in the top ten of many international charts.
Fact 6Mraz first came to prominence on the San Diego coffee house scene in 2000.
Fact 7In July 2005, Mraz opened for Alanis Morissette during her Jagged Little Pill Acoustic Tour.
Fact 8On Dec. 16, 2012, Mraz became the first international artist to publicly perform in Myanmar (Burma). The concert was attended by over 70,000 people in attendance. The concert was part of a multi-media initiative to raise awareness about human trafficking in Myanmar.
Fact 9He was engaged to singer/songwriter and close friend Tristan Prettyman. On June 7, 2011, Mraz said however in an interview that he and Prettyman were no longer engaged.
Fact 10Mraz lives a health-conscious lifestyle and enjoys eating mostly raw vegan foods. He owns an avocado farm in Northern San Diego County.
