Fact 1
Charlotte Rampling, was born Tessa Charlotte Rampling on 5 February 1946.

Fact 2
Charlotte’s career began at the age of 17, when she started working as a model. Her first appearance on screen was in 1965, as an uncredited water skier in “The Knack…and How to Get It”.

Fact 3
In 1967, Charlotte was cast as Hana Wilde, a gunfighter in “The Superlative Seven”, which was an episode of the British spy-fi series The Avengers, not to be confused with the more widely-known Avengers superhero film.


Fact 4
In 1975, Charlotte acted in the film “Farewell, My Lovely”, a remake of a film based on a detective novel. Her part in the film earned her recognition among American audiences.

Fact 5
In 2003, Charlotte returned from a long absence to act in “Swimming Pool”, where she played the character Sarah Morton, who was named for her sister.

Fact 6
She then appeared in the 2010 terrorist thriller Cleanskin.

Fact 7
In 2002, she also recorded and released an album of songs in both English and French entitled “Comme Une Femme.

Fact 8
Charlotte is also known for her striking fashion sense and style, and has been featured on such magazine covers as Interview Magazine, Vogue Magazine and Elle Magazine.

She has also worked in television, and will appear in the eighth season of the TV series Dexter in the role of a neuropsychiarist.

In March 2013, newspaper The Guardian named Charlotte one of the “fifty best-dressed over 50”.
