Fact 1
He was named the father of radio science by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Fact 2
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Calcutta, he studied Medicine at the University of London. He quit because of illness.

Fact 3
27 of his papers were published by "Nature", as well as ten books.


Fact 4
Most of his work is still usable today including antennas and polarisers.

Fact 5
His first science fiction piece, "Niruddesher Kahini" made him the first person to use Bengali language for a science fiction piece.

Fact 6
Since he wasn't paid as much as his European colleagues at Presidency College, he refused to accept his checks. For three years he worked without pay.

At Presidency College, he was also not given a laboratory or facility; he did all of his research in a small room.

Fact 8
During his research, he was not given any money. All of it was out of his own pocket.

Fact 9
He was the first person to use a semiconductor and invented various microwave parts. He was said to have been 60 years ahead of his time.

Fact 10
His studies with plants made him theorize that plants could feel and understand feelings, etc.
