For around three years Edward Norton studied with Terry Schreiber in New York. They worked a deal with each other where Edward Norton taught Screiber Japanese in return for acting lessons.

Edward Norton is an active member of the non-profit organization Friends of The High Line that is dedicated to the preservation and reuse of the High Line in the West Side of Manhattan.
