Ten fun facts about Star Fox


Fact 1
Star Fox was one of the first video games to use 3D polygon graphics. It was the 2nd 3D developed game by Nintendo.

Fact 2
Europe released it as "Starwing" to avoid confusion with a similarly named game in Germany: StarVox.

Fact 3
The designer of Star Fox wanted to use a fox as the character since it reminded him of a Japanese shrine he passed everyday on the way to work.

He was also a fan of puppet shows like "Thunderbirds". This explains the puppets on the cover of the game.

Electronic Game Monthly gave Star Fox the Best Shooter award in 1993.

Star Fox 2 was created and completed but never released.
