Nigel John Dermot "Sam" Neill was born on 14 September 1947 in Northern Ireland.

Sam Neill first got main roles in movies like Omen III: The Final Conflict and Dead Calm and on TV in Reilly: Ace of Spies.

He got popular internationally in 1993 for his roles in the movies The Piano and Jurassic Park, a role he reprised in Jurassic Park III.
